THE FIRST JOINT COLLOQUIUM OF ALL IAA SECTIONS
The Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE) has the honor and the pleasure to organize the very first Joint Colloquium of all IAA Sections (ASTIN, AFIR-ERM, IACA, IAALS, IAAHS and PBSS) which will be held in the center of Brussels from 22 to 25 September 2024.
This first "JoCo2024" will gather actuaries, section members as well as members of Actuaires du Monde (AdM) around a unique theme “Reconnecting Actuaries”:

Reconnecting actuaries after a pandemic period that changed the ways they work and meet.

Reconnecting actuaries from interconnected areas of interest to the current and future challenges of the profession.

Reconnecting actuaries around the same objectives: meet, exchange, learn, discover … and enjoy!

WHY ATTEND JOCO?
A global event
The International Actuarial Association (IAA) is the global organization representing the actuarial profession all around the world.
JoCo2024 is the very first Joint Colloquium of all IAA Sections: ASTIN (Non-Life Insurance), AFIR-ERM (Finance, Investment & ERM), IACA (Consulting Actuaries), IAALS (Life & Annuities), IAAHS (Health) and PBSS (Pension & Social Security). It will bring more than 500 actuaries with different backgrounds and interests together from across the globe.

Actuaries have been modelling, valuing and managing risks of insurance companies for a long time but are now increasingly involved in activities of other financial institutions.
Actuaries play a decisive role for the longterm balance of our societies. Many actuaries also have managerial responsibilities up to the highest level of organisations.
